THE LIGHT was founded in 2018 by Mr. TAYONG Ramsay, the vision bearer, with a deep concern for the plight of vulnerable and marginalized populations in Cameroon. What began as a personal commitment to service grew into a formally registered philanthropic and non-governmental organization — bringing together like-minded professionals united by one goal: sustainable community transformation. Headquartered in Buea, Fako Division, South West Region, THE LIGHT is officially registered under No. 711/G37/C84/VOL I/SASC. We intervene across five key pillars: Education, Sustainable Agriculture, Vocational Training, Youth Leadership, and Community Intervention. Our Mission: To empower individuals with the mindset, skills, and opportunities needed to transform their lives and communities. Our Vision: We envision a progressive and inclusive society where the basic needs and fundamental rights of the most vulnerable — particularly the poor and marginalized — are fully met and respected.

THE LIGHT was founded in 2018 by Mr. TAYONG Ramsay, driven by a personal commitment to serve vulnerable and marginalised populations. Like-minded individuals joined the cause, and the organisation was formally registered as a philanthropic NGO headquartered in Buea, Cameroon.

Every contribution goes directly to our five programme areas: education, women empowerment, vocational training, sustainable agriculture, and community intervention. We maintain full financial accountability to our donors and provide programme reports to demonstrate impact.
